ADULT DAY SERVICES INTRODUCTION

Our World Adult Day Services provide a supportive group setting during day time hours (7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.) for people with physical and/or cognitive disabilities. These services include a planned program that provides a variety of health, social and support services in a protected environment.

The benefits of Our World for participants include:

bullet Health care support of several kinds, including nursing and personal hygiene care.
bullet Freedom of movement in a protected, safe environment, supported through a casual, family-type atmosphere.
bullet Contact with children through a variety of activities on a daily basis.
bullet An opportunity to feel useful and to be connected to others.

The benefits of Our World services for caregivers include:

bullet Peace of mind, knowing their loved one is in an active, supportive, and safe setting.
bullet A break from the often round-the-clock demands of caring for their loved one.
bullet Support from professionals as well as from others in the same situation.
